In 2023, Gold Rim Exploration negotiated the purchase of 49% of the existing gold excavation operation in Esibomvu village, Bulawayo. The merged site has been in operation since 2007 but required outside assistance to expand operations, a job Gold Rim Exploration took on following a successful feasibility study and exploration of the area.
Extraction at the site is set to resume in August of 2024.
